Description of 1990 Volkswagen Type III Syncro |

1990 Volkswagen "Tristar" Syncro (4X4) with a canvas covered flatbed with bed gates that fold down. 4 speed manual transmission with a 2.1L 4 cylinder engine. The truck is STOCK! VERY RARE with tons of parts included. This vehicle was initially used by the US military and has a US Government placard. I purchased the truck from a friend in Germany in July 2019 for $15,000. It was shipped to the U.S. ($2,800) in August. This is my 3rd DoKa and I will provide full disclosure. No surprises. I have plenty of pics to share, I'll take photos of anything you'd like to see. This DoKa is in great condition and was inspected by FSP Sachverständigenbüro Bernd Neumann on the 27th of July, 2019 with no issues before shipment to the US. I can provide a copy of the inspection, however keep in mind it's in German. VINWV2ZZZ24ZLG010225 Volkswagen's DoKa (short for DoppelKabine, or double cabin) pickups have a small but loyal following in the United States, enhanced, perhaps, by their forbidden fruit, not-recently-imported-here status. That forces prospective buyers to shop offshore, importing examples built prior to 1990, until the occasional clean example surfaces on these shores.
