Description of 1986 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Westfalia

1986 Vanagon Westfalia w/ Extra components
“Lock, Stock, and Barrel”
As I prepare to make a significant investment in my home here in Western MA I realize that the value of this camper would help significantly in our plans. Will I miss this van? Of course. Is this the last one I will ever own? No. That is for certain.
Looking to get into that fashionable "Van Life"? This is the rig to do it.
I am selling it as a complete package complete with side tent…shower…solar….the whole nine yards. The camper was put together as it is to operate as a unit. It will remain a unit.
Latte has been an amazing vehicle and all the blood (read…bloody knuckles)….sweat…and a couple of tears have been worth it. It was very Spartan when I purchased him and have added many bells and whistles as you will see. There is very little needed with Latte. It is a HIGHWAY STAR and you can camp VERY comfortably when you arrive.
Rust? Yes…it has some. Let’s be honest without a very significant investment it will always have it. I have been very proactive with keeping it at bay. Last year we removed the entire camper package and ground and rust bulleted from the inside out. It was a good deal less than expected. It should be at bay for some time. It is NOT rotten. A good number of previous VW’s I have owned has been here in New England. I have owned rusty VW’s (vast understatement). This is not that VW. Very solid actually. But it is a New England vehicle. Even keeping it religiously clean it will still rust. Heck it had rust on it when I brought it from the high desert of Colorado. Pictures will show that. I have zero to hide.
This has been used extensively and camped in extensively. My family and I have made many wonderful memories in this vehicle. Time for someone else to do the same. My point here is it is not in “showroom” condition. Just great condition. It has it nicks and scrapes. In fact “dings and dents” have been on this vehicle since I bought it. Pics will show more. It gives Latte character.
