Description of 1985 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon

Selling my 1985 VW Vanagon Westfalia Weekender (aka Brownie). Brownie has an all original tan interior that is in great condition, which includes carpet, floor mats, and curtains (and privacy curtains and screen). The pop-top is in excellent shape with the tent having been replaced a few years ago. Cabinets show some wear and tear but all work as needed. The odometer was replaced when the engine was rebuilt (see information below) and all instruments and switches work, except for the analog clock. The instrument panel lights have been replaced with GoWesty LED lights. An updated Sony radio (bluetooth compatible) and new door speakers were also recently installed (but kept the original speaker grills). Details:

·Rebuilt water boxer 2.0L engine installed in January. It has approximately 500 miles on it. Runs great and is ready for long trips.Warranty good through end of 2020. Odometer was broken when I purchased the van, so not sure about the overall body mileage. Speed on the freeways is not a problem, but it is a Vanagon, so slow and steady is the name of the game.

·GoWesty 1.5-inch lift kit for 2WD

·BF All Terrain LT215/65/R16

·GoWesty 16-inch steel wheels (black)

·Blistein Extra Heavy Duty Shocks

·New seals for front windows and pop-top

·GoWesty SS exhaust system

·Hella “Vision Plus” headlights

·South African Grill Kit

·Bosch clutch kit

·Fuel lines, wheel bearings, water pump, brakes, cooling system flushed, spark plugs and distributor cap all recently replaced.

·Comes with a GoWesty 2-inch hitch and a van cover to protect Brownie during the colder months

·Paperwork for all repairs and parts can and will be provided.

Great van at a competitive price. I personally prefer the weekender model as it drops the weight of the kitchen appliances (that rarely work correctly). No rust and well-loved and cared for. There are minor things that need to be fixed (like all 35+ year old cars) but this van will take you to some very cool places. Minor cosmetic things that could be fixed include a dent on the bumper and a scratch on the side window.
