As you can see, uch work has gone into this Consept, tarting with the Installation of a Very Rare, 989 Volvo Penta, Q171, 500cc engine, nd a Borg Warner T5, Speed Transmission. The production run of these AQ171 Engines was only 2 Years, 8-89'. This is a Stroked 2300, ith a 16 Valve, win Cam Head, eveloped by Porsche. The "171" denotes the Horse Power, ated with the original pair of single barrel downdraft Carburetors, nd the Water-Cooled Exhaust Manifold, riginally equipped in Marine Dress. As you can see, e have Twin 45mm Dell-Orto Carburetors, Custom Intake Manifold), nd full Length, tainless Steel Headers. Actually, he entire exhaust is 2.5" Stainless Steel. So, 'm guessing around 200HP with some serious Torque. All Hydraulics have been Rebuilt or Replaced, s well as a New Custom Aluminum Radiator, il Cooler and the Fuel Tank was removed and Cleaned. The Body has had many alterations, uch as: The 1950's "Fins" removed and Reshaped the rear Fenders, eadlights Cut and Fabricated using "Mini Cooper" Units, ll wheel Arches Removed with new Large Arches welded in, he Rain Gutter Shaved, he rear Quarter Windows cut-out and enlarged to Porsche 911 type Windows, he Original Taillights, emoved with P1800ES Units Fabricated in, he original Grill Welded in with a different insert and the custom front bumpers. The Interior is mostly original, ith Dash Caps, ew Carpets, ustom Steering wheel and Alfa Romeo GTV Seats. Also there is High Performance Lowering Springs, ith Koni Shocks and new 17" Alloys and Tires. This project started of with a very sound, 1' model year car with the superior 4 Wheel Disc Brakes. I personally think this thing is Beautiful and so does anyone that has seen it. This is probably what Volvo should have done with the car instead of "Beating a Tired, ead Horse".
