1983 Volvo 240 242 DL RARE 2-Door Coupe Sunroof Manual Transmission

Up for sale is my 1983 Volvo 242DL. Freshly repainted in the original Scotia Blue as of April 2015. The bumpers and trim were removed prior to being painted, nd new trim clips installed on the entire car. It had the passenger side rocker replaced with a German part due to minor very rust. Engine is the bulletproof B23F and behind it is a smooth shifting M46 manual transmission with J type Laycock overdrive which works well. The shifter bushings are worn, ut new ones are included with the sale. Runs and drives well. Unsure as to the actual mileage as I have replaced the speedometer several times in the past 12 years or so. Rare Webasto sunroof. It is said to be one of 8 or so built with this sunroof as a "concept" car. This was information I was given by a local Volvo dealer in 2002. It was a "special delivery, ourist and diplomat sales" car, nd lived the first part of its life in Germany. No factory AC. Has power steering. Just tuned; new plugs, ap/rotor, ir filter. Turbo sways, PD overload rear springs, irgos, nd a bunch of extra parts. Good tires. Car is in dry storage, ot sitting outdoors in the weather. Very sad to sell it. Has been a part of the family on and off for a long time. I have a 1-year-old son who takes my time and attention, o the car must go.

The car is over 32 years old. Your bid/purchase is a legally binding contract. $250.00 non-refundable deposit due within 24 hours after the sale. Full payment due within 3 days. Payment to be made in the form of cash upon pickup, r certified bank check (will have to clear before vehicle and title leave our possession). Storage of $25.00 per day starting on day 11 if the vehicle is not picked up, gain, i>unless other arrangements are made and agreed upon. I am a reasonable person, nd am more than willing to work with the buyer if they are up front and honest with us. I will also be happy to assist in shipping the car if necessary, .e. work with the shipper or recommend shippers if I can. Keep in mind, ome of the extra parts, uch as the engine, re quite heavy. I will need help moving and loading it if the buyer decides to take the spare engine as well.
