Description of 1970 Volvo Other P1800E

My favorite car of all time! If you're a P1800 guy, hen you know what I'm talking about.
This P1800 is the exact model I want with the exact features I want. ie: B20 2 liter motor, uel injection, ll disk brakes, ANUAL transmission, hite with red trim, as tank cover on side of quarter panel and not on top. And obviously I don't really want to sell it but I am not sure that I will have the time to restore it this coming year.
Let's look at The Good, he Bad and The Ugly:
The Good:
Straight car. Everything is there, otor, adiator, aster cylinder, ransmission, as tank, eats, ash etc etc. The alternator is missing and injector lines. Nothing you wouldn't have to replace anyway. Original wheel rims - Volvo 5 pointed clover rims. Very sexy! The car is BEAUTIFUL! I love this car!
All glass and windows in good shape. All instruments, ials, witches, nobs, evers in good shape.
Hood almost perfect...at least from the outside. The X-frame inside will need some TLC. Trunk has some minor rust but I am sanding it off. Only one indicator light missing. All the rest of the lights present and look good. Doors are ok and functional. Passenger door can only be opened from the inside....should be an easy fix.
Motor is not seized but would need to be overhauled anyway. Then you will have one of the best and most reliable engines EVER to be placed in a car. This is not just my opinion. Google Irv Gordon. His P1800 now has over 3,000,000 miles on it! Guinness Book of Records. This one is only showing 46,000 miles. No clue of the odometer is broken or not.
Transmission seems to be ok. Clutch good. I would replace the pressure plate at the very least tho'.
The Bad:
There is rust in all the usual places you'll find them on a 45 year old car. It sat in a car lot for over 10 years. Driver floor panel is rusted through. I will put pics of all the visible rust. The dash top cover is cracked, f course. Driver seat is shot. Passenger seat has a couple of tears. Rear seats with Volvo logo looks good as does the leather luggage belt. Driver carpet is dirty but the rest of the carpet is actually pretty nice. Roof liner is pretty close to perfect. Window, runk and hood rubber seals will obviously all have to be replaced. No title. This is being sold as a parts car. You can apply through your local DMV to get a title if you want to restore it.
I don't have a key for ignition, oors, runk or gas cap. Locksmith wants $250 to do this!
Battery bay is rusted. I (you) must cut it out and manufacture a new one. Pretty simple.
The Ugly:
There are some parts where the car is rusted through and it's not pretty. I estimate 50 hours of professional work to get rust cut out and replaced. 100 hour AT LEAST if I do it.
This is a very restorable car. When done right it will be a $40,000 car all day long.
I have it for sale for a few reasons: Time and money to restore. It will break my heart to part with this car but if there is someone who can do a better job than me, et it go to him.
