Description of 1979 Volvo 240 DL

YAX 997T February 1979 this three owner Volvo 244 DL is offered for your consideration. I imported this car from Northern Wales in 2008. It was a country dairy creamers car (hence the hitch) and rarely driven to areas of population. It comes from a town that has the worlds longest name! An honest sale, I would ideally love to see an enthusiast to buy and restore it to its lovely original condition. When I collected this car, it had no rust on it. Now you can see in thephotos that 9 years of city driving in the WINTER SALT capitol of the world time has taken its course. The good news is thatitappears to be only panel damage. Since I've owned, I updated to VOLVO wheels and recent new Good Year tires the same all around. It also comes with the Volvo R racing steering wheel (the original comes with).Other fixes and updates that come to mind:Rebuilt Head (now uses unleaded fuel), newclutch and all associatedcomponents,complete new exhaust, recent new battery, new wiper arms, new Strombergcarburetor and much more. I have all the associated paper work and many extra parts as well. I have manymore photos which I can e-mail. This car runs extremely welland is my daily driver. It is very dependable and as never failed me, even on the coldest days when some almost new cars would not start! Please e-mail me with any questions and for more photos. ADDENDUM- THE CAR HAS A VERY SMALL OIL LEAK USUALLY 1/2 QUART EVERY 6 WEEKS AND IT RUNS WARMER ON HOT DAYS AS IT COULD USE A THERMOSTAT DESIGNED TO HELP IT RUN COOLER ON WARM DAYS.
