Up for auction is my Volvo 240 GL. If you're looking at my ad, then you're a 240 person like me. The exterior is white - original paint - and the interior is gold. It is a 4 cylinder, non-turbo, non modified, automatic transmission, drive anywhere vehicle. The car has standard GL options: driver's side air bag, hand crank sunroof, power door locks, power windows, power steering, air-conditioning, heated side mirrors, heated seats, fog lights, rear defrost. Somewhere in the car's life, the stock radio has been upgraded to an Alpine detachable face radio. Also note this model has an upgraded leather headrest for the front seats. This car has some pros, and some cons. The Pros: The car runs great and starts every time - never an issue since I've owned it. I've even used the 240 to jump start other cars over the winter. The engine is strong with no leaks. The transmission shifts smoothly and doesn't slip. Tires are decent, brakes are good, exhaust is good, power steering is good and does not leak. The dash lights work. Clock works. Speedometer works. Gas gauge works. EnIt's a good running, good driving vehicle. The Cons: The car is well used. The paint is faded in a few spots. There is some rust on the vehicle but minor given it's age. The driver's seat is split at some of the seams. The seat heat doesn't work. The odometer is not working - it wasn't working when I bought it last year. The right rear window does not roll down. The air conditioning blows hot air (I'll try to charge it and then update this listing). The ABS light is on. The plastic map pockets are broken on both front doors. Bottom line this car, it's a good, reliable, drive anywhere car for the price. It won't take much to get this car perfect - I just can't dedicate the time right now to do so. Turn key and go.
