Description of 1983 Volvo 240 GLT Turbo Rare Low Miles Barnyard Collectible Find

This is a 1983 Volvo 240 GLT TURBO sedan which is pretty rare! This has very low miles of 123k for a 35 year old car! This Volvo is great commuter car with cosmetic weekend projects to do to make it to be in excellent shape. Mechanically it seems great, starts up and runs. It has a lot of little cosmetic issues. The car has been sitting for some time and hence the low miles. This is excellent for a new driver or student as these Volvos are bullet proof and are solid cars and Volvos make the world's safest cars!
The interior of the car is in pretty good shape I would say minus the driver's seat. It's a bit torn. It is missing the fuse box over and little things here and there. The driver's side door panel has a tear in it. The radio speakers can be attached better. All of the gauges are there but the accuracy of them are untested.Overall, I think the interior is in pretty okay shape.
The exterior of the car in okay shape. It could use a coat of paint or two. The front passenger turn signal needs a new lens cover. The body does have some nicks and dents from being a 35 year old car. All the glass and mirrors are crack k free. All the doors, hood and trunk all open and close perfectly. The car does have some surface and rust spots. It did spend some time in North West America. I have taken photos and they are towards the end of them. It is not major at all nothing a little sanding and filling will not do. Overall the exterior is would say is in okay shape.
Mechanically, the car is in good shape. It has had a lot of parts just replaced for sale. It has a new fuel pump and ignition module to start with. The engine does not shake or vibrate. The Volvo does not make any weird noises or sounds. All of the 4 tires need to be replaced due to age not wear. I would go through the whole car as it has been sitting for some time. It starts up and drove it around town and drove fine but I would do a full check before a long road trip.
Overall this is a great daily driver with some TLC for the weekend. This is an iconic Volvo as the Beetle is for Volkswagen. This car was purchased by a Volvo collector for restoration but he lost his storage space and the car must go. This car was purchased in Washington and shipped to Southern California for complete restoration which never took place. I described this car to the best of my knowledge, and I highly encourage an inspection before bidding. If you have any questions you can call/txt me anytime at 626 232 1831.
