Description of 1966 Volvo Other original interior

I have a nice 1966 Volvo P1800 coupe for sale. I purchased from a private collector who had it over 30 years. He had the car painted in 1987. Overall, the trim is very nice for its age. I had the bumpers re-chrome plated. it also has some new weather stripping. The interior is totally original and nice, but not perfect. the carpet shows the most age. I believe the mileage is116k. Although, looking at the motor, it is very clean for its age. Possible could have been rebuilt, doesn't smoke any. carries 40 lb of oil pressure hot. motor sounds great and runs cool.A set of aftermarket gauges have been added to replace the original, since they are more accurate. I have done a lot of work on it to make it safe anddependable again. it has new front brake calipers, brake hoses, lines, rear wheel cylinders and shoes. new brake master cylinder and new brake power brake booster. new clutch master cylinder, hose and slave cylinder. new fuel lines. the radiatorwas removed, cleaned and tested. new radiator hoses and new waterpump. The generator was checked, tested, and a new voltage regulator installed . the oil has been changed twice. new spark plug wires, coil, cap, etc. The seats need the support strapping replaced. I have new, but not installed yet. most everything works. the horn doesn't.. needs new speedo cable. I consider it a "work in progress". like all old cars, always things to do to it, and little things that need sorted out. the paint is still quite nice. it has acouple ofscratches. Looks like they did some rust repair to the driver side rocker. it has a couple of bubbles in it after 30 years. The passenger side looks original. Also looks like they did some repair to some of the cross supports under the floor in the front. The floor itself is nice and appears rust free. some of the support work looks good and some might need addressed. I believe the car is solid structurally. The gaps are nice and the doors close nicely. It runs and drives good. still tight for its age. The overdrive works sometimes. I will try to check it our this weekend. Keep in mind it is more of a "survivor" than a restored car. The car is price fairly for its condition and all the new parts and work which has been done to it. I did all this work because my wife wanted it, but she is to short to see over the dash good. so she wants something else now.

I encourage you to come look at it personally. I am located in Winchester VA, along I81. You can reach me at 540-336-3357, if you have any questions, or want to schedule an appointment.
