MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present this handsome and rarely seen 1952 Military Willys Jeep. This 1952 Jeep M38, rom its final year of production, as subject to a ground-up restoration by a father and son team! Their attention to detail for period “correctness” is apparent right down to the centered mounted .50 caliber machine gun!

In 1950, illys introduced the M-38 (identified as an “MC” by Willys), illys built over 60,000 M38s for Korean War deployment, nd naturally Jeeps were once again in the thick of battle. Though the mostly mountainous terrain of North Korea might have logically influenced the Army to minimize the use of the Jeep, his did not turn out to be the case. Once the fighting began along the 38th parallel (the line dividing North Korea and South Korea), he Jeep assumed many new combat and support roles. Some Jeeps were equipped with communications gear that allowed them to be employed in forward positions, irecting air strikes and observation airplanes. It could be operated on the paved streets of cities and towns or on the dirt roads of the countryside. The Jeep in Korea proved to be popular as well as the principal means of transportation for both officers and enlisted men.

Finished in it’s period correct Olive Green, his post-WWII Jeep based on the CJ-3A was fitted with military-specific features, ncluding a one-piece foldable windshield, ottom-mounted wipers, pintle hook for towing, ifting shackles, nd a fuel filler on the drivers side. Pioneer tools (axe and shovel) were mounted on the passenger side, ear mounted spares along with a waterproof electrical system, equiring a second battery. Included with the purchase of this jeep is the a 1952 6-foot by 4.5-foot authentic Army trailer with Olive canvass top and functioning trailer brakes.

Inside, he interior continues the Olive Green paint theme to mirror the exterior. The two front and rear bench seats are covered with the same Olive colored canvass. The instruments were clustered in the center, he fuel and temperature gauges are inoperable. The jeeps data plates to their right. To the left were the choke and throttle, ith the light switch just left of the steering column, nd at the far left the parking brake handle was mounted in the dashboard. The windshield wipers are inoperable. A dash mounted red lens flashlight., -108 radio receiver with protective covering and rear mounted “whip” antenna, ear mounted spare fuel/water can, rass atomizer, wo period correct helmets and flak jacket with body armor! The original steering is period correct and functions as designed. Also included with this jeep is a floor mounted MA-2 50 caliber Browning machine gun…however, t does NOT function as originally designed.

This nicely original presented Willys jeep comes equipped with a 60bhp, 34cid L4 “Go Devil” side-valve four-cylinder engine mated to a 3-speed T-90 manual gearbox with two-speed Dana 18 transfer case, our-wheel drive, ana 25 front axel with and full-floating Dana 44 rear axles with semi-elliptic leaf springs, nd four-wheel hydraulic brakes. The M38 suspension and frame were stronger than that of its civilian sibling. The wheels are 16-inch military grade steel wheels with larger all terrain tires.

This is the ideal gift for any military buff. Perfect for display at any military collection, a reliable driver to participate city parades or a subtle way to get your neighbor to turn down his radio! GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!

Current mileage on the odometer shows 175 miles and is sold as is with a clear mileage exempt Oklahoma title.
