Description of 1929 Willys

Up for sale is a 1929 Willy's Whippet. This vehicle has approximately 1,000 hours into it. This is not a cobbled up mess. Driven often. Has recently won Favorite Pick at the Rats, Rods and Rock N Roll car show with over 200 cars. Frame is constructed of 2x4x3/16 rectangle tubing and is heavily fish plated and braced for a sturdy frame. Front end has all new disk brakes, seals and bearings. New single leaf spring up front. radius arms are custom built out of 1 3/8" DOM tubing and are hell for stout. All brand new brake lines.Wilwood dual master cylinder and residual valves, and proportioning valve. All brand new . GM 12 bolt rear end with new seals and all new drum brake parts along with wheel cylinders. These are a manual brake system so it takes some pressure to stop. Rear suspension is a ladder bar and coil over set up. same as you would find in a drag car, very stout. Fuel system is an aluminum custom 16 gallon cell with a Holley Blue fuel pump. All fuel lines are braided stainless in 6 AN along with all fittings. Pro 1 anodized aluminum washable fuel filter. Engine is a 5.7 SBC with brand new Pro Maxx 190 cc runners and 64cc combustion chambers. All new gaskets and seals. New Holley 750. Jegs SST distributor. Gilmer drive system up front. Runs great. Headers are hand built and have metal baffles in them and are surprisingly not loud. New aluminum radiator. Original Whippet grill shell with emblem. K&N velocity stack and filter. TH350 transmission with new filter and fluid with new front and rear seals. Trans does have a slight leak from pan, nothing bad. New corvair steering box. All him joint steering. All new grade 8 bolts throughout the car. Brand new speedway 20 circuit harness. New hinges and latches. Lokar fuel pedal and tranny tube. Seats are out of a military helicopter. 1950 Ford taillights custom fabbed in. Also has new 1950 Ford taillight sockets. B&M shifter. Stainless steel firewall and various interior panels. Foose Nitro 20" rims with Toyo Proxus tires. Custom made fuel filler cap . Body is wire wheel finish. The car was media blasted when I got it. the skulls on the doors are not painted on. I made a stencil out of 20 gauge steel and wire wheeled around it. so, the skull is a media blasted Finish. I left the bullet holes in it as I thought it gave character. Countless hours are into floor and fab work on car. I built the whole car and have a ton of pictures from the day I bought the shell. You will not be disappointed in this ride.
