Description of 1941 Willys 441 Plainsman Americar

Selling to settle Estate, Privately Owned, Clear WI Title. This was my Fathers 1941 Willys Americar bought in 1984 and Frame-off restored in 1996. All original major parts IE Body, Frame, Engine, Trans, Rear End, Seat Frames, etc, All Body Panels and Frame dipped, Upholstery and Carpet Professionally restored to Original, Engine and Trans Rebuilt, Rear End Serviced, Brake and Cooling System Restored to OEM. Car was titled and driven until Dad died in 2004, stored indoors in heated garage until 2016 when Mom passed. Car was professionally gone through by Automotive Gurus in Lake Geneva, WI in Spring 2017, Engine was again rebuilt at .040 over due to coolant leakdown in #3 cylinder while stored (new valves, pistons, rings, bearings, carb rebuilt, etc - have all paperwork), New Electrical and Brakes were also addressed - car is ready to drive and show anywhere with the exception listed below.
The new owner may wish to address the paint, see photos - there is the standard paint chipping at the hood latch common to this bodystyle Willys with the original steel cowl, also there is a small chip (again see photos) on the drivers fender which occurred somehow during storage - both could easily be addressed without much effort, but definitely worth noting. The paint used in restoration was color-matched OEM "Michigan Yellow" Lacquer so it should be an easy match.
Car is currently stored in my heated shop just outside of Lake Geneva, WI and I can make myself available for showing M-Sat from 10:30 AM until around 6PM. A deposit of $1000 is expected within 24hrs of auction end, and balance in Cash due within 5 business days. I can store the car until March 6th if arrangements need to be made to have it transported, any transport arrangements are up to the buyer, I will do my best to accommodate during the hours listed above. The last time the car was appraised for Insurance was at Dads' death, the Volo Auto Museum gave it $27,500 but that was without the chipped paint on the fender and before another complete Engine and Brake Rebuild, so that number could be up or down at this time, I'm not sure. Please ask any questions prior to bidding or make arrangements to view vehicle before bidding - car is sold AS IS due to the age of the vehicle with no implied warranty other than the transferrable warranty from Automotive Gurus in Lake Geneva on the Engine Rebuild. Don't miss this opportunity to own a complete, original 1941 Willys in excellent condition !!! *PLEASE NOTE* Car is available Locally for Purchase, I reserve the right to end auction early at any time if reserve is not met, once reserve is met I will let the auction run its' course and the highest bidder gets it.
ADDED 2/13: I apologize for having to cancel the original auction and relist, for some reason Ebay didn't include the reserve price.
