1930 Willys- Overland Whippet Deluxe 6

100 Pictures - VIDEO walk around

Hey, thanks for stopping by and checking out my 1930 Willys Whippet, this is a beautiful survivor car. I lovethe color combination, and the classy styling of this very unique automobile, check out the original Willys Bumpers. What I really like about this car first, is obviously the condition, but most of all, it is a rare car that you do not see all that often, in the flooded sea of Fords out there. Don't get me wrong, I love a little Ford Model A, but with a Willys, it is for sure a nice step up, you will be in the unique crowd for sure when you pull up with one of these, and instant conversation piece, just look at the styling, truly a period Survivor. These Willys models are great, lots of room, you can take your friends out on the town, easy to get in and out of, lots of storage if you like to take tours with other folks, and keep all your stuff nice and dry inside. One other option that a lof of other manufactures of the time didn't offer, is that it is a Factory Inline 6 cylinder, something Model A's obviously didn't have at the time. This car wouldmake a great touring car, weddings, and parades. I included a 20min Video link, and over 100 photos. The car is in great shape, so take your time and study the pictures, watch the video a few times. I try to go over as much as I can, but hard to hit every single thing I notice or don't notice. If you have questions, give me a jingle I would be happy to talk with you about the little Whippet. Thanks, Jason 503-910-2085

The condition of this car is very nice. It looks great, all original steel body in great condition. From what I can tell, there is no rust on this car, nor any repairs, very solid. You will also in pictures and in video, on my lift so you can see for yourself. The wood framing in the body looks good, under the doors look good, all the gaps look very good for a car that is 88 years old. The doors open and close nice and line up great, hard to find on a vehicle like this. The front fenders are all steel, splash aprons are steel as well. The body is original Willy's Steel, nice and straight when you look down the sides, the fenders look great as well. The paint is in nice condition, the car looks like it has never been taken apart, very original car, but has had some paint areas touched up here and there through the years, the photos and video will give you a very good feel for the car. There are a few flaws, that you will see in pics and video. I tried to point out the most obvious things. The glass all looks in good shape, the doors open and close, and windows all open as they should. There are some small chips on hood hinges, piano hinge on hood etc. The paint is very old, on the car, make sure to look at photos and video. The top, has been treated with a truck bed liner, they actually did a very good job on it, and it looks nice and will last a long time, this is really the only thing that isn't very original on the car. Overall, it is very presentable and looks great for a very nice driver, parade car.

It is all numbers matching, the VIN on Frame, Engine and Title all Match, see pictures below.

Interior is in great shape, very original looking to me. Not sure if it has ever been restored inside, it is very original looking. It has matching door panels, and seats, headliner, very clean, non smoker. Everything looks good inside the car. You will see some wear on the seats, moths probably got into the material. in the back seats. You will notice some seams that have split, the drivers side material is loose, and could be repaired. The wood grain looks to be original on the car. The glass looks in good shape, all the windows roll down, even the rear quarter ones, the cowl vent opens and closes. The little shades roll down in the back, windows, pretty cool they still function. Overall, I like the interior a lot, best thing is there is a ton of leg room inside this car, so if you are tall, especially for a driver over 6' it is great.

Mechanically it is in pretty nice condition, it does start right up and idles good. If you never driven one of these before, they are easy, just like driving an vintage car with manual gear box. My favorite part about how it starts, there is a knob in the middle of the steer wheel, "Fingertip Control" that controls the lights, the horn, and yes the starter, you pull the knob and it turns if over with ease. One thing that is pretty neat about this car is it has Watson Stableizers up front, basically a Reel that acts like a Shock absorber, that is original to the car, they are still intact and in good shape, never seen these before, pretty neat design. It does run good, it fires right up and goes down the road just fine. There is a little wander in the steering wheel, so maybe it needs to be adjusted I do not know, I would say there is about a 1/4 play in the wheel, it does drive nice and straight down the road though. The engine is original to the car, its ID number on engine matches the VIN on frame and title, pretty rare to find an 88 year old car that still has its original drive train. The transmission shifts good, clutch feels good as well. The brakes work good, and it stops nice and straight. The lights all work good as well, even the fog lamp. Wheels are original Willys 18" Wires, with Firestone Bias Ply 4.75X18 Gum Dipped.

D E N W E R K S

I've sold classic cars on eBay since 2003. During the past 14 years, I have sold around900 classic cars sold online through eBay, Craigslist and BringATrailer auctions to buyers across the country and internationally, including Europe, Dubai, Australia, Japan and Brazil, just to name a few.

What I love about these old cars, is that I get to own some of my favorite cars one at a time, I have turned this passion into a business, but for me it is an awesome time to enjoy the cars themselves. I've enjoyed getting to know other car enthusiast from all over the Continent, especially some that have become very good friends of mine because of our love for cars.

If you would like to call me and talk about the car, that would be great. I would love to help you out. Feel free to schedule a day to come out before you bid or send a friend, inspector or transporter. Although I always try to detail every nuance with the vehicles, it is always better if possible to see it with your own eyes. I am close to a major airport and many transportation options.

These are classic vehicles with lots of history. They are used, and not perfect. They don't have warranties or guarantees. Each vehicle is sold as-is. There are many reputable inspectors in and around Salem and I will accommodate their schedules. I try to give a good description and post at least 75 photos so you can get a good gauge of what it is, and isn't. Thanks, Jason 503-910-2085
