Description of 1931 Alfa Romeo P2 MONOPOSTO |
I am re-listing due to a non-paying bidder. Your bid is a legally binding contract, not your first right of refusal. Please do not bid if you are not serious or these terms are not acceptable to you! Up for a NON RESERVE auction is a truly stunning replica of a 1931 Alfa Romeo Monoposto (P2). The car is built on a very solid VW chassis, but every accessory that can be Alfa Romeo is Alfa:
Body The frame of the car is in excellent condition. Originally from California (where the car was apparently build), spent its last 7 years in dry Arizona. Always garaged, never seen rain or snow. Non-smokingowner. The paint job is stunningly beautiful. Alfa red with black accent trim. All the chrome is very shiny, no pitting. You will get lots or looks and almost every onewill ask you for a photo opportunity. I cannot stress how beautiful this car is. All lights work perfectly. The wheels have been professionally powder coated and are spotless, free of dirt and brake dust, inside and out. The pictures speak for them selves. Interior The interior is equally beautiful. The seats are black, totally flawless: no tears or rips. The custom designed carpet is very clean. The dash is also 100% custom. Unlike many others with cheap wooden dashboards, this car comes with a steel dash that has been professionally diamond cut and powder coated. The dash includes a dash-instrument illumination switch, just like onpre-1960s Alfas. Car has a completely new custom wiring harness. This baby starts and runs great! Starts every time with no trouble. The previous owner had led blocks in the front to put more weight on the car. We removed them, to lighten the weight. If you want to drive her at higher speeds on the highways, you will have to install weights. Terms of Sale A $250 non-refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of close of auction or buy-in-now option. I described the car as to the best of my ability. Please be mindful that you are buying an antique car. If I left out something that is material to you, please ask before bidding. Because of state law and the age of the car, the car is sold as-is. I always encourage potential buyer to inspect the car before bidding. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. I am however, upon agreement, willing to deliver the car within a 400 mile distance. The car is advertised outside of E-bay and locally, so I reserve the right the auction anytime. Please e-mail me with any questions, I will be happy to answer them. Happy bidding! |
