1967 Alfa Romeo Duetto "Boat Tail Spider". The movie "The Graduate" made these Alfas an icon in the USA . This model was first shown at the 1966 Geneva Motor Show and was an immediate hit. The Duetto designation meant, two camshafts, two carbs, and two seats. Even now, the Pinin Farina designed lines look absolutely stunning . Many prefer this style to the later Spider models with the squared of rear end. This particular example is finished in Classic Rosso Red with Black interior . It's been a California Car most of its life so hasn't suffered any of the rust issues so common in early Alfas. It has an older repaint in the original Colour which still looks nice . The body appears to be very straight with no signs of prior accidents and no rust issues, floors appear original . The interior has been re trimmed at some time and is presentable, although the seat kit is not to the correct pattern. Dash does show some cracks from exposure to the California Sun. The top is serviceable but does show some wear and should be replaced at some point. The car starts easily warm or col, sounds nice with excellent performance. Gearbox shifts smoothly although the linkage needs adjustment . Its an absolute blast to driv, hard to believe it is 50 years old.
