Description of 1987 Alfa Romeo Milano |
This is an ‘87 Milano that I bought several years ago as a project, but never got to. The body is very good with a couple of small dents and fair original paint. I’ve included pictures of the rockers and wheel arches, the most troublesome rust areas. The engine compartment has surface rust but the areas around the front shocks are solid. The only damage I can see is around the front crossmember which the previous owner told me was from when the original engine was pulled for a rebuild. The interior is in good condition as well. The back seat has damage but I have another matching seat to include with the sale. The hood is loose in the pictures since it was taken off to remove the old engine, but it fits correctly when bolted in. The odometer shows 65,707 miles, but I’m not sure about that. The previous owner was working on making this an autocross car so some suspension work has been done, including some poly bushings. As shown, there are also chrome exhaust headers fitted. The engine had thrown a timing chain, been partially disassembled and left to rot, so I pulled it out. I am including an engine I bought late last year that was pulled from a running GTV6. I’ve turned it over on the starter and found good compression on all cylinders. This can be a good, fairly easy project car with no body work necessary.
