Description of 1973 Alfa Romeo Other 4 DR |
I have decided to part with my 1973 Giulia Super project. It has been sitting on my lift for the last three years and I do not foresee I will have the time to put on the finishing touches. I purchased the California rust free body without an engine and transmission and I had a 1990 Spider engine and transmission from another project car that I installed. Installation went flawlessly as all the mounts unbelievably enough are exactly the same! The engine run flawlessly prior to the removal and after it was installed. I drove the car after I finished installation and it drove smoothly and went through all five gears without any issues. The 1990 wiring harness was used after the removal of unnecessary circuits such as airbags and other electronics that are not present in this car. All the electronics for the fuel injection were left intact. Enough circuits were left for lights brakes and turn signals. The car is entirely complete with all the chrome and trim, has new weatherstripping, new upholstery and new carpet. The windshield has a crack on it and is secured on the car with duct tape as well as the rear window. I have not attempted to start the car for about a year and I would not try to start it until all the fluids have been checked any old gas has been removed etc. The car has been stored inside since I acquired it. It comes with a Webasto sunroof that will probably need new vinyl on the outside. There are no rust issues with the car and the only body modification is that the previous owner had planned on track racing the car and had slightly bowed out the rear fender wells. I believe this can be easily rectified. The paint is passable but I would certainly strip it and repaint it if I were to keep it. This is the perfect car for someone who can do some simple electrical wiring connections and has the time to give this car a little TLC. It will drive far better than the original and will be a lot more enjoyable for the non purist. PLEASE NO INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS!! Please ask all questions BEFORE bidding. The car is sold AS IS with no warranty expressed or implied. Any bidders with less than 10 feedback entries, PLEASE CONTACT ME BEFORE BIDDING! PLEASE DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU HAVE THE FUNDS AVAILABLE!
