The model was released in 1974 and featured a rear-mounted transaxle mated to the race proven 2000 cc twin cam 4 cylinder engine. This, a series one example, Italian specced, is displayed in it’s purest form. The way the engineers and designers intended. Featuring; molded front turn signals, shaved body, and only one exterior mirror on the drivers side is the epitome of the new 116 platform. The GTV variant distinguished from the lesser models by twin chrome whiskers in the grille, larger engine, GTV scripts carved in the ventilation vents on the C-pillar. This example was so well preserved it was recently imported from Italy. Presented with an ASI Gold plaque and all original supporting documents rendered in 2013, this car is well preserved and to original, numbers matching specifications. Supporting its top of the line performance is a daring yet rewarding color combination. The car was originally specced in Blu Scuro and has seen one extremely high quality respray. The interior is where this car shows its Italian flair. The Rosso Mattone colored cloth interior is in original condition and feels just as nice as it looks. The car was purchased from a collector in Perugia Italy where it was properly de-registered and imported to the USA and is being sold on a clean Idaho title. Upon landing on California shores it was hauled to Santo’s Italian Car Service where minor repairs were corrected. The car has now been given a clean bill of health and is presented in its believed to be original brightwork, interior, wheels, engine, drive train, and complete spare including jack and wrench.37852 km is stated on the odometer and it is believed to be original.
