The Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce Convertible was the only model sold by Alfa Romeo in the United States for 1980. Power was from a dual overhead-cam four-cylinder fuel injected engine offering 110 horsepower. These came from the factory with a five-speed manual transmission and disc brakes. Changes and modifications for the 1980 model year included a restyled grille, new door panels that incorporated a map pocket and armrests, and the bucket seats were given new upholstery. The cars had a trip odometer, tachometer, two-speed heater, windshield washer, wood-rim steering wheel, reclining bucket seats, and a carpeted luggage shelf behind the seats
