Description of 1989 Alfa Romeo Spider Quadrifoglio |
Hello,Up for sale is a beautiful well cared for Alfa Romeo Spider. I took this Alfa on trade for a 56 Continental. I love cars and have owned several Alfa's over the years. This is by far the cleanest 1989 on the market. The gentleman I purchased it f'rom saw it on the showroom floor of Hyman Motors in St. Loui, Mo. about 8 years ago. 19000 miles from new. It was a one owner car.He thought this would be a nice car for his wife to putt around in on nice days. Sadly her knee went out and she was unable to operate the manual transmission. I believe he own the car for five years and only put approximately 1200 miles on the car. Currently the car is showing 22,808 miles. I have put around 200 miles on it and have found no major issues.I can see there is a decorative center cap missing on one wheel. The car starts right up, shifts are very easy with no chatter. The clutch feels great. I've driven the car up to 85 mph with absolutely perfect smooth ride. The steering is non-power assisted and you have a great connection with the road. No shimmy or alignment problems. The only other thing I've seen is it is missing a washer nozzle on the valance in front of the windshield. The car comes with a hardtop with electric defroster built into the glass. The cloth top doesn't appear to ever been used . I was told that the last owner that he kept it in his garage with the hardtop on after his wife was no longer able to drive it.The paint is original and still shines very nicely. There is one small door ding on the passenger door. It did not break the paint and I'm sure it could be popped back out easily by a paintless dent shop. I've seen worse dents removed. I'd guessing that it might cost $100.00The interior of the car looks almost new. The seats are supple and show almost no wear. There is no cracks or wrapage on the dash pad. The car has a nice sound system and anti theft alarm. The Alfa power antenna works well coming up once the stereo is powered on.You can just tell this car has never set outside. It comes with a custom car cover. Inspections are encouraged.
