Description of 1988 Alfa Romeo Spider Spider Quadrifoglio Verde 2.0L L4 SOHC 8V |
This listing is for a 1988 ALFA ROMEO SPIDER QUADRIFOGLIO with 89. 00 Original miles. The car runs. drives and is on a non-operational registration in California. It has been stored for the last 6 years by the owner of 15 years; with the engine being ran once a week to keep everything in good order. This car has a California salvaged title from a rear end collision around 18 years ago. The original owner had the car professionally repaired after the insurance company had to declare a total due to value of car then. Since these cars were no longer available new at that time the owner went ahead and fixed the car so he could still have an Alfa. Good Passenger side electric window works Car runs and idles well but should have all new filters. fluids replaced as well as new plugs. wires and fuel injector cleaner run through a tank of gas. The idle will sometimes get too low and I would imagine after all those parts and some miles are put on the car it will run well. It passed California smog prior to being stored which should indicate all is well before 6 years of being idle. Body is in nice condition. few dents or scratches New Battery Has matching rim for spare Air Conditioning turns on and seems to run cold Radio works All lights but one of the headlights work Comes with 2 sets of keys What you should know Sounds like front brakes need to be replaced - comes with new brake pads Missing passenger side door handle and turn signal lever Convertible canvas top is in good condition (no tears or rips) but plastic rear window will need to be re-sewn by upholstery shop Seat leather is ripped and torn Drivers side door handle is broken Drivers side power window is non-functional with window stuck down Windshield has a large crack Does not have Quadrifoglio Hardtop Black paint is good but will need a good polish to get rid of 6 years of dust and dirt This car is priced very well and pricing is firm! Car will be sold "as-is and if sold in California will not come with a California Smog Certificate. This car would sell for $12. 00 or more if it were in concourse condition; it clearly is not and thus the price. It will need to be gone through since it has been sitting for 6 years but once that is taken care of you will have a nice car at a very reasonable price. I purchased this car from the owner recently with the intention of sorting it out as I have always wanted one of these cars. but I have a two other cars I am restoring and my wife would prefer I focus on those. I am a bit of a car nut so I sometimes get carried away with classic European cars. |
