Description of 1969 Alfa Romeo Spider

1969 Spider Veloce / Duetto / Boat tail / Round tail. 1750cc, Spica Injection, 5 speed manual

Low original miles at 43,442 but needs Full restoration.

A friend purchased this Alfa with 35,000 miles on it for his daughter 1973.
About 10,000 miles and 3 years later the Alfa stopped running and he put the car outside next to his barn. 20 years later it had a tree through the floorboards. I acquired the car 25 years ago and have stored it in an enclosed shed since then.

I have a clean KS title with 1973 application date, 1977 title loan paid date. The Duetto wears a 1976 license plate, the suspension mounting spots and overall undercarriage cleanliness and the logos on the rubber mats being decent, leads me to believe the story and mileage is credible. The speedo shows 43,442 miles. The Spica air box is in the trunk and there is an aftermarket fuel pump hanging over the rear axle. My guess is the car had fuel supply issues they did not resolve and just set it outside.

The car does roll and steer, I have no key but the column is unlocked. It has no brakes but all brake and clutch cylinders are present. It has had some bright work missing, seats were tossed but it does have the hard to locate soft top frame. Transmission feels good just moving through the gears. Cleanliness of trunk also lends to low mileage claim, where the long trunk lid overhangs the license tag is a very common area of rust and while this needs straightening in that area there is very little corrosion or exhaust stain. Location is in Wichita, Ks. and the car is sold as is with no warranty. Please look at all photos, thanks.
