Description of 1972 Alfa Romeo Montreal |
More exterior pics here: https://www.ebayphotogallery.com/zdjecia/Galeria/10685122/1 For some reason, international bidders told me that they cannot make an offer and I need to approve it first. if you are outside the United States and want to make an offer, send me a message and I will make sure you can buy it. 1972 Alfa Romeo Montreal, featuring a2.6-liter fuel-injected DOHC V-8 engine with competition-style dry sump lubrication, derived from Alfa Romeo's Tipo 33 front-line sports racers, mated toa ZF-sourced 5-speed manual gearbox, coupled with a limited-slip differential. The dry-sump 2.6-liter V8 engine produced around 200 horsepower.Additionally, the Montreal featured SPICA fuel injection. It also features a four-wheel independent suspension, and disc brakes all around. The value ofthisparticularcar is in itsoriginalityand rareness.Only as many as 3,925 examples of the Montreal were constructed in all (many of which are red, which makes this one even more rare), with the majority of production through 1977 sold new in Europe and far fewer imported to North America. More interior and enginebay pictures here: https://www.ebayphotogallery.com/zdjecia/Galeria/10685123/1 This cars starts, runs and drives well. However, it has sittingfor long (at my temperature-controlledstorage) so may need somerefreshing. The enginesounds good and is very healthy. The transmissionshiftswell throughthe gears. The clutch is very good. The body and gold paint are excellentfor themileageand age, and onlynotableflaws are a dent in the front left fender and somebubbles in the rocker, and minor dings and scratches all around. It is not a restoredcar, but certainlyin good driver shape. Same for thecloth interior, which is also excellentfor the mileage and age, with normal wear. All glass, chromeand trim is in very nice shape. Wood steeringwheel, headliner, door panelsand carpets are in great shape. The car is mostly original. The suspension and brakes perform good. The original OEM wheels are very good. All major electrical parts and gaugeswork. Odometer shows 09766, but true mileage is unknown. It has clean NJ title. Overall, a very solid unrestoredMontreal that will certainly continue to go up in value. It isnot perfect, but only needs somerefreshingdueto sitting. Open for interestingtrades down The car is sold AS IS. I encourage you to comeand inspect this beauty in person, or sendan inspector. |
