You're looking at my 1991 Alfa Romeo Spider with 80k original miles. This is a fun little car. Overall the car is really nice for being 32 years old. Original paint still looks very good overall. It has never been in any accidents. There are a few light scratches on the passenger side along the body crease lines. It must have just brushed against something in a garage at some point. It's not dented, just light scrapes along the crisp edges in front of the door. I think a pinstripe could hide most of it if you choose not to paint it.
There are 2 small rust spots about the size of a quarter on both rockers at the back edge above the rocker covers (common spot due to soft top drains getting clogged). There is no rust behind the rocker cover. Dog legs and door jambs are rock solid. Floors and frame rails are also rock solid (see last pic). There's a small amount of bubbling along the cowl edges on both sides where the welting goes. I'm sure a paint shop could blend all these mentioned areas without doing a full respray. I haven't found any more rust on the car anywhere. The car is a driver and looks great from a few feet away. Even with these minor flaws it still attracts lots of attention. It's a cool little car, and quite rare! How often do you these driving down the road?! Like almost never!
The cloth soft top is in great shape and looks almost new. Rear plastic window is clear and supple. The leather and suede seats are in excellent shape. Still supple and no staining or discoloration to speak of. Door panels are in great shape. Carpets and mats are in nice shape. Dash is nice with only 2 small cracks behind the center vents.
Car runs and drives good. Clutch is very good with no slippage or chattering. Synchros are excellent with no grinding at all. Brakes need bled as they're a little soft but they stop the car just fine. Tires are almost brand new with maybe 100 miles on them.
Passenger window switch needs replaced. Original radio isn't turning on but could be something simple like a fuse. There's a small crack in the windshield in the driver's side lower corner. Tach is inop but speedometer and odometer are working fine. There is an oil leak that I think is just an oil pan gasket. Car runs very good and doesn't smoke at all. Holds idle and temp well. Car cruises well down the road.
Some extra parts are in the trunk. There's a new driver's side door gasket, spare brake caliper, new water pump, new rear trunk emblem, 4 Quadrifoglio style hub caps for steel wheels, repair manual, and original owners manual. This is a great opportunity to get into a nice Spider at a great price. I bought this for my son but he wants a Dodge Challenger. I'm starting the auction at $6,000 with NO RESERVE. Final bid wins. Please only bid if you intend to purchase as, again, this is a NO RESERVE auction. You might have the winning bid!
Car is 32 years old and there are no warranties expressed or implied. Please ask all questions prior to bidding.
