Description of 1968 AMC AMX

1968 AMC AMX with 390 V8, utomatic transmission, nd Go Pack.
This is a very solid car that I bought as a restoration project. A previous owner had installed a 70 AMX front end (hood, umper, rille, tc.) on the car. Those parts were removed before I got the car. I have since obtained the following parts to make this a 90% complete car:

Original AMC Parts:

AMX steel hood
Grille - including brackets and mounting pieces
Front and rear fender extensions
Headlight buckets and hoods
Front bumper and brackets
Front fender braces
Stainless rocker molding trim
All stainless trim for windows, oors, ood, nd headlights
AM Radio (no faceplate)
Radio pod
Dash crash pad
Plastic interior pieces

Reproduction headliner
15" American Racing Torq Thrust II wheels and new tires

The remaining items that need to be done before this is a driving car include:

Clean and reinstall fuel tank
Install new fuel lines
Connect the wiring to tail, arker, nd headlights
Connect the wiring harnesses under the dash

This is an excellent starting point for a restoration. My reason for selling is due to changing priorities with no time to complete the restoration. I have much more invested in this car than the asking price. I am able to store the car for several months (if car is completely paid for) to give the buyer time to arrange shipping or pickup. All shipping or pickup costs are the responsibility of the successful buyer.
The magnum 500 wheels shown in most of the pictures are no longer with the car. The car will come with the new Torq Thrust II wheels and tires.
