Description of 1970 AMC Other

This Machine has been restored to as close to the condition that the factory in Kenosha sent it out the door on January 22nd 1970. I've restored multiple AMC's
and grew up in a family owned (40 years) AMC dealership so it's a passion not a hobby. After the body and all panels were media blasted it was epoxy primed and blocked many times. The white was painted in Single stage Urethane, lue was clear coated. Factory Undercoating/sound deadener was duplicated. Wheels were blasted and painted base coat clear coat and are not an exact factory match.
Date coded items that I checked such as motor (valve cover tag), adiator, eats, oor tag (paper), nd even crayon under dash all coincide with a end of the 3rd week early 4th week of January 1970 build date. New Legendary door panels, eat skins and arm rest cover. John Newell stripe kit with authentication decal.
THIS CAR 100% COMPLETE. PICTURES SHOWN ARE BEFORE, URING AND AFTER THE RESTORATION PROCESS.
#1) This rare Machine started life as one of the 1200 +- (nobody actually knows the exact number) RWB Machines, urthermore, true 4 speed car.
It's NOT one of the many clones. Might be THE ONLY ONE with the date actually written under the dash!!!!
#2) When we purchased it the car was a nice driver not a basket case and never has been in it's life
#3) Almost all parts were there and original to the car. This IS NOT an erector set car.
#4) The car was always in the South, pending its life in Texas and New Mexico, irtually NO BODY RUST EVER!
#5) Complete photo documentation available.
Items missing or changed:
Original exhaust manifolds missing (currently headers)
Exhaust, ize increased to 2 1/1" with cross over, orrectly bent tail pipes
Original fan shroud missing (I made a reproduction), have the fan
Original air cleaner snorkel missing (I made a reproduction), hrome cover missing and rubber seal incorrect
Mechanical oil pressure and water temperature gauges installed in removable panel on dash, have an original unaltered one
Items needing to be addressed:
Rear bumper was rechromed but center section is starting to show discoloration, hould be redone
Trim rings on wheels have some dents and dings from tire changings, o curb damage
Front brake calipers (original 4 piston Bendixs) have started to weep and RH is dragging, have seal kit.
After sitting (weeks), tarts hard. may need fuel pump or accelerator pump, lthough goes down the road fine (last time driven)
Previous owner had instrument cluster restored, peedometer reads fast, think it needs to be re-calibrated

NOTE:
The motor, ransmission, nd rear end are original to the car and have NOT been rebuilt by my self. I was told by the previous owner the transmission had been done just before we purchased the car. The clutch looked new but I replaced it anyways and resurfaced the pressure plate when the motor was out. Everything functions well as they are but I have no history on them. Because I haven't owned this car since new mileage is TMU.
