Description of 1973 AMC Other |
This is a 1973 amc matador sedan with 98k original miles, it is all original except I believe it was repainted at some point. It is equipped with a 360 v8 and "torque command" automatic transmission, ac, power steering and brakes, am radio, rare tow package (an upgraded suspension package, like what would come on a police car). Color is grasshopper green with black interior. The original owner had the car rust proofed by Ziebart back when it was new also, so the car has no rust. The car sat in a garage from 1989 to 2012 when I acquired it. Since then I've done a good bit of work on it. It has new tires, a newly redone gas tank, brake lines and wheel cylinders, starter, alternator, voltage regulator, plugs, wires, fuel pump, coil, distributor cap and rotor, rebuilt carburetor, and has a pertronix ignition. Also the transmission has been rebuilt. It is a very rare car and runs very strong, I just don't have room for it in my life any more. I hope to sell it to someone with room in their garage and who wants to keep it original, but it would also make an excellent candidate for an Adam 12 squad car clone I have the original window sticker, warranty card, a title from the original owner, owners manual, receipt for Ziebart treatment. Cons: Could use a little more tweaking as with any old car, and ac is not currently working, needs a heater valve, alignment is not bad but needs done, could use a paint job, minor dings and dents here and there. This car is being sold as is and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. |
