Original, not a restoration, 1965 Rambler Ambassador 990H. Front drivers seat back (upholstery), C-pillars (vacuum plating), grille (re-anodized), and bumpers (chrome) are all that has been redone during the 12 years I have owned the car. Car has 37569 original miles. I have documentation from all prior owners starting with the title transfer from original owner to 2d owner in 1980. At the 1980 title transfer the vehicle had 11485 on odometer. The third owner owned the car from 1983 to 2003 and I have typed documentation from those years. I have competed in Concours Car Shows over the years winning three 1st place trophies. The Ambassador also won Best in Class and Best of Show trophies at the 2010 AMCRC National Car Show in Sacramento, CA. At one recent show the MC stated the car looks "like it just came off the showroom floor". If you are looking for an original Rambler I don't believe there are many like this Ambassador. It drives tight with plenty of power from the 327/270hp engine. The A/C has been converted to R134a coolant and blows cold. The clock, switches, instruments and lights all work as intended. The car has an option that was new for 1965. It came with a factory AM/FM radio with vibra-tone or reverb (a fraction of a second delay in sound from front to rear passenger speaker). Quite cutting edge for the time. The sale comes with all trophies and upholstery (vinyl, cloth and piping) for seats when needed.
