Description of 1973 AMC Hornet

This is a great find. Up for sale is an original 39. 00 mile 1973 AMC Hornet. Car is a one owner. I still have original title. Accident free. And in very clean. well preserved condition. Garaged its whole life. Body is very straight and appears to be dent free. Very clean underneath. No signs of rust. Trunk and Quarters are rust free too. Car has nice options such as air conditioning. power steering and power brakes. Discs on the front. drums on the back. Starts runs and drives very well. Recent work performed. Brake overhaul consisting of new front calipers. pads. and hoses. Rear wheel cylinders were replaced. New spark plugs and the carb was cleaned and slightly adjusted. Also a new gasket was installed between the engine block and the exhaust manifold. The old one deteriorated. Car is now super quiet. Oil change. brake fluid flushed out replaced with new. as well as the antifreeze. I would suggest the following for the new owner. new tires. and new shocks. And of course a nice detail job. I have not yet cleaned this car. come spring I will have it detailed and do the above mentioned odds and ends if I still have it. On the passenger side behind the front wheel. there is a little surface rust where the lower fender meets the rocker. There is also road tar in this same area. So when you look at the pics don't mistake the road tar as rust. Lots of original paperwork. including years of insurance. registrations. and receipts. Also original owners manual. and I am working on getting original sales order form. The pics represent the car very accurately. If you need more or something else let me know. Overall. the ones shown. are a very good representation of everything even what is not shown. Everything is so clean and original. door jambs. under the dash. its amazing. I wish I found a Chevelle or Nova SS in this condition. I have owned many older vehicles which I have found in their unrestored state. This one has needed the least amount of work out of everything I have found. Its a really nice car. They do not come much simpler.
