For sale: 1968 AMC Javelin SST survivor290ci V8 3 speed automatic.This SST has not been on the road since 1988, has been stored and covered for many of the last years.The gas tank was cleaned, added a electric fuel pump it started right up. Transmission slips a little but stilllot drives fine. Brakes are soft but stops. Engine compartment looks all original. Floors and trunk are all solid, no rust or mice.Original blue paint, (except left rearquarter panel repaint),surface rust only, no rust holes. Chrome is showing age, stainless is all nice. Vinyl top shows wear and has somepeeling spots.Gaps are all nice, doorsand windows openand close nice. Has all original sheet metal, ithas some body damage onpassengers sideBlack vinyl interior is completely original, very good condition.Drivers seat and carpet shows wear, headliner is sagging. Radio and lights work, has rear window defrost. Door jams and weatherstrips are very nice.Windshield is cracked. Tires need to be replaced. Has original owners manual packet,spare tire and jack. This Javelin is a survivor. I recommend trailering it due to soft brakes and oldtires. Very original AMC Javelin that would be a perfect candidate for restoration or replace maintenance items and drive as is.Clear south Dakota title.
