1968 Hertz Amx, car was originally a 343 auto, air, posi, go pac, white with black stripes, red interior, remote drivers mirror. From what little i've been able to find about Hertz amx's this is how they were ordered. This car was discovered in a barn in wisconsin about ten years ago and was restored in the last few years. This car was repainted Big Bad Blue? last year and while seats were being recovered a partial broadcast sheet was discovered in the seat springs showing the vin on the sheet along with special instructions to send to Hertz rent-a-car. This car has a smooth running 290 in it now but comes with the 343 engine. This is a nice running car that cruises nicely down the hwy at 75mph, I just drove it on a three hour trip with no issues. As far as i can tell everything works on the car except a/c but is hooked up and complete. I have some documents of the car and pictures when it was found. The car has solid floors, trunk, and body panels but did have lower partial quarters replaced. The paint has a couple small flaws and the stripes are not correct size but this car being what it is should be put back to original color. Odo shows 7k but assuming its 107k, Tag on dash is 02102. Trim tag on door shows Body: 007871, Model: 6839-7, Trim 835A, Paint: 72A. Please email with any questions before bidding.
