Body & Mods – Simulated Exhaust rocker moldings, radius stretch at front & rear of front fender opening. Both bumpers straightened & painted to match body colour. AMC NOS window felts & rubber strips installed on doors. In the middle of repairing original grill also have a 1970 AMX grill that I was customizing as well to go with car. Engine – 1970 9.0:1 AMC 360, .030 over cast pistons, internal oil line, 50CC heads, 2.025” intake and 1.625” exhaust valves, Edelbrock Performer camshaft, 204 / 214 @.050 / .448 intake & .472 exhaust, Harland Sharp 1.6 roller rockers. Edelbrock Torker intake converted to Accel DFI with parts from GM, Kinsler, Fuel Injection Specialties including: custom billet aluminum TPI style distributor & remote coil, Vortec LS1 style throttle body, Fuel Injection Specialties custom engine harness w/all GM sensors & color codes including 02 sensor. Essentially, a stone stock ’70 AMC 360 with ceramic coated long tube Headers, Performer cam & multi-point EFI with maybe 300+HP. Transmission – Mustang GT T5 w/steel bearing retainer, all-new 2.95 low first gear w/O.D. changed to .80, truly a well spaced transmission with no big rear drops first thru fifth. Rear – ’94 Cobra 8.8 w/3.27 Trak-Lok, rear discs. This rear is within an 1/8” total width of the ’73 Javelin (wide) rear axle that came out of this car. The 3” total wider rear allows the 17x8” wheels to bolt on with no spacers. Suspension – Fisher Racing built tubular lower a-arm w/heims, reinforced ball joint mount, upper a-arms braced at bushing pivots, Koni shocks, ’69 AMX .94” front sway bar is used for its shorter lever arm length, widened to the ’70 style mounts. ’88 GTA Trans Am steering gear installed in stock box. Fabricated 1” wider, 1 5/8” dropped spindle (see drawing). Brakes – Polished Brake booster and billet aluminum master cylinder. ’07 Mustang new PBR style calipers with 12.5” x 1.1 rotors installed on the AMC drum brake hubs. Rear disc brakes are ’94 Cobra discs. Interior – Original red corduroy front and rear door panels w/Autometer gauges. 8,000 RPM tach, 160 speedometer, oil pressure w/warning light, fuel w/low light warning, temp w/hot light warning, voltmeter, Painless 18-circuit harness in glove box, new red carpet, front seats are from a BMW E40. Rear seat is redone with Legendary Interior vinyl cover. New headliner installed on stock fiber board. Dash overlay is a brushed aluminum style paint that is used on calipers with clear coat so it is very durable armrests are done to match. AMC Spirit tilt wheel with dimmer on stalk. AMC Concorde infinitely variable wipers, original center armrest. 7” flip up DVD player. There is no “old” wiring in this car. Miscellaneous – Battery in trunk, H4 replaceable headlights with Painless direct-relay harness, Griffin aluminum radiator and fan shroud, B-Cool electric fan and aluminum rad hoses. Comes with Laptop, cables and software for programing the EFI system as well. Will need a repaint as it has been touched up several times and white is mismatched in spots. I have included a sketch of the design I was going for as the final product.
