For sale is a very rare 1967 AMC Marlin. This car was bought new in Tucson, Arizona, and remained there until 2007 when it was brought to California. The car is very dry and other than some surface rust in the trunk, appears to be otherwise rust free. I have peeled back the carpeting in the front seat area so you can see the floors...zero rust. I have also taken some pictures of the underside...again...rust free. The car runs well and has a newer timing chain and gears and a new oil pump. I was planning on restoring this car but it does not look like I will get to it and we are planning on moving this coming fall. If you are an AMC guy...you know they only made just over 2500 of these cars and that the redesign on the Ambassador platform was a one year only body style. The 1967 Marlins are considered the most collectible and valuable...they are great looking cars. This car does need to be restored cosmetically but you are basically starting with one of the most rust free cars out there. The car comes with all the emblems needed to restore the car as well as the few bits of front fender trim I was able to find NOS. I also have, and this is NOT included in this auction, what I believe is the last NOS 1967 hood ornament still in the original AMC wrapper...try finding one of those. As I reserve the right to sell this car locally, if I do sell the car before the end of the auction and a deal is reached with the new owner...the NOS hood ornament may be included in the sale...it is not otherwise for sale. I really want this car to go to a good home. The car will be sold as is where is and is available for inspection any time before the end of the auction. Please call with any questions and thanks for looking. 530-723-2145.
