Description of 1974 AMC Javelin

Greetings fellow AMCers! Up for auction is my personal AMC collection. I'm married now and am looking to buy a house. so I figured I would offer everything at one shot. If the whole lot doesn't sell. all items will be sold at market value. This is not a forced sale(sorry Ebay/Craigslist hustlers). Most of the cars are parts cars. A few are "eye of the beholder" possible restoration cars(1977 AMX Hornet and 1977 Matador) with one car being a definite restoration candidate. the 1974 Javelin AMX. I have approx 3 different parts storage containers. I will list everything I can think of. On with the description. 1974 Javelin AMX: This is a great resto project. I have just about everything to get the car on the road. Previous owner. a long time AMC friend. has taken car of the car and done a lot to it before I purchased it 1 year ago. By his words. the front suspension as been rebuilt. the fuel tank dropped and conditioned. new steel fuel lines. all new brakes and steel brake lines. very nice exhaust. I asked him what was wrong with the transmission when I bought the car and his response was "the only thing wrong with the trans is it needs an engine in front of it". I have NOS fabric for the front seats. sound deadening kit. LH remote and RH mirrors. hood chrome(not perfect but usable). gorgeous 140/tach cluster. AM/FM radio. AMX grille mesh. 4 AMX grilles to choose from(though are are broken in certain spots). new in the box Legendary weather striping kit. presentable front and rear bumper and just so much other loose parts to aid in the cars restoration. Not pictured is a perfect matching non functional cowl hood and brand new a/c condenser. The car has ZERO floor pan rust. The rust on the car in on the RH lower quarter panel. and a few small spots under the vinyl top. Small spot on one of the rockers. Very clean other than spots mentioned. This car will be made a running. driving stopping car if the lot doesn't sell. I WILL NOT PART THIS CAR OUT. 1977 Matador: I bought this car from a friend with the sole intentions to grab the engine out of it and place it into the Javelin AMX just mentioned. It has a very strong running 360 with the Performer intake and Edelbrock carb. Strong transmission was to be used as a back up. Awesome sounding exhaust system! I bought it the day before Christmas Eve and had it tagged and insured the next day. It's a real POS. but fun to drive. Has great oil pressure and fires up easy. Other than that. not much to say about the Matador. It does have the tilt column. but turn signal is busted inside. Has LH and RH mirrors. Huge hole on the RH side front floor pan. Large rust spots bellow the rear window. It runs. drives and barley stops. I drive it a few times week just because. 1977 AMX Hornet: I bought this car because it would be a perfect donor car for any small wheelbase AMC for a V8 conversion(Rambler American. Gremlin. Pacer etc). The engine is a strong running 304. Auto Trans that shifts great. Zero brakes. Has tach that works. and other little goodies that come with some of these AMX Hornets. Spirits. Concords. Body is pretty rough. but I do have a title. 1969 AMX: This car was in poor shape when I got it. It was a ex-drag car when bought. I do have the dash and title(390 auto car) and 3:54 posi rear. Not pictured is a lift off fiberglass AMX hood not set up for hood hinges. It's a drag car hood. 1970 Javelin(the cut up one): This car came from the same person I bought the AMX from. Little was left of it when I bought it. No engine or trans. Has some good sheet metal. I pulled the wiring harness and dash and is in storage(have title for this car as well). Rear end is locked up. Dash has a few small cracks. but not busted in the "OS" grab strap section. 1970 Javelin(with engine): Purchased this one from another friend whom has a AMC collection that would make any AMCer jealous. This car has almost perfect floor pans and other good sheet metal sections. Engine is a 304 full of water. but has a good amount of engine parts. No transmission. no title. Rear end is locked up. 1972 Javelin: This was purchased recently out of the deepest woods. No engine. trans or title. Though has some good parts ie restorable grille. rally steering wheel(has earlier cap in perfect shape in storage) and a usable lower RH quarter for the 1974 AMX. Rear end is locked up. Louvers are loose. for I'm using this car to mock up how I was going to install the louver onto the '74 AMX. 1974 Javelin: Purchased from the same fellow as the 1972 in even deeper than the deepest woods! This car to has no title. but has a 304 and automatic. Again. there are some decent parts on the car. Rear end is locked up. 1970 Rebel SST: Okay. this is the car that made me a AMCer. I've had it on and off for 20 years. It was rough when I got it back then(no trunk pan at all. aluminum sheets as floor pans etc) but it has always came back to me after three times sold. Not much on the car other than some sheet metal. a few parts and a title. One wheel wonder rear end. Loose Parts: I have lots of misc engine parts. Pullys and brackets for a/c and non a/c. Sanden a/c set ups. disc brake spindles and power booster. flywheels. power steering parts. multiple sets of factory valve covers. and just so much other items. Interior pieces mainly from 71-74 Javelins. bucket seats from a 67-69 Ambassador/Rebel/Marlin. bucket seats from 70-72 AMX/Javelin(clean turtle backs). 3:15 posi fitting 71-74 Javelin/AMX. wheel well trim for 71-74 Javelin and others. Clean trim rings fitting both 14" and 15" AMc rally wheels. A set of "Magnum 500" AMC rims and a few to spare. About 100 pieces of NOS trim ranging all over the AMC spectrum including some NOS wheel well trim. Some emblems pictured. more not. Some early Rambler parts. some Rebel parts(though not a lot). A few loose AMC 727's not pictured. Of course there is more that I just can't think of. There are a few items that maybe in the pictures that don't go with the lot. for they aren't mine. The two Eagles on the left of the "over all" pic are not mine. though will be parted out by my father whom owns the location he allows me to keep my collection. There are some 71 up Road Runner bucket seats and back seat in a few pics that will be sold separately. This is for AMC only. I know this is not your average listing. I figured at least it would be fun to do. There are a few options on pick up. PLEASE have a plan and talk to me about picking everything up before bidding. I am flexible about pick up. but will not accept a long. drawn out process. If you have the space to put these cars/parts and the love/addiction. then treat yourself. This auction is for the big boys who have their ducks in a row and a understanding wife. So PLEASE don't waste my time or yours. All questions are welcome.
