Description of 1974 AMC Javelin |
Looking at selling my 1974 AMC Javelin restomod. Has a mildly built 401 and a 4 speed. Less than 600 miles since build was completed. Engine - 401 built 30 over. Bottom end work done by Bulltear. Edelbrock Heads, RPM Air Gap intake, Mallory HEI distributor. Harland Sharpe roller rockers, Forged Pistons. Custom Valve Covers, 750cfm Carb, Milodon oil pan with external oil line kit. Runs into a dual oil filter block. Used the Bulltear tri-plate I believe. Cam is a Comp Cams 280H. Motor runs very strong. No AC, no Heater, no radio. Car was built to Drive. 4spd transmission rebuilt and Centerforce clutch installed. New custom built driveshaft as well. Wheels are by Vintage Wheel Works. Fronts are 17x8 with Nitto 245/45/ZR17 tires. Rear wheels are 17x11 with Nitto 315/35/ZR17 tires. Gas tank was cleaned, blasted, and sealed. Coil over front suspension, Aerospace front disc brakes, and Willwood Master Cylinder. Car was built from the ground up and have pictures that show progress. New aftermarket E-Z wiring harness installed. New fuel lines, brake lines, etc. aluminum radiator and dual electric fan kit. Engine firewall was smoothed as the heater and A/C were removed. Car has also been converted to manual steering. Battery is Optima GEL and has been relocated to the trunk. Also, trunk opens on a push button as the rear spoiler has been smoothed to remove key switch. Interior - Autometer gauge cluster installed. Seats have been recovered in a black cloth and carpet has been replaced. Interior is very basic as the car was built with a purpose of just driving. I am not in a position where I need to sell the car, but i truly do not get to use it enough to justify keeping it sitting in the garage. Shipping is responsibility of winning bidder. |
