Restyled for 1971, the Second Generation AMC Javelin was purposely designed to have a sporty individuality even at the risk of scaring off potential customers. Longer, lower, wider, heavier and better equipped than its predecessor, the Javelin incorporated an integral roof spoiler and sculpted fender bulges. The car was distinctive and was billed as the closest thing you could buy to a Trans-Am champion. GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this unique and rare Javelin AMX. Restored around 5... years ago, this AMC is in wonderful shape and and is very well finished. The paint is Big Bad Blue and has tons of gloss and is in great shape. The hood has the stripe package and is also equipped the ram air induction. The body is great, free of rot and dents, it presents very well. Other exterior features include twin exhausts, rear ducktail spoiler, mesh grill, and 17in chrome REV wheels. The interior is very nice and is said to be original. The blue seats are in great shape, as is the dashboard, door cards, and headliner. The interior features the 140mph speedo, original sport steering wheel, original radio, and factory air conditioning. There is just a few minor cracks on the driver focused dash. The big news with this car is the 285hp, 360cid high compression V8 engine mated to a tough 3-speed manual transmission. "Twin grip" limited slip differential is a rare option and helps this car with its performance mission. Rarer and rare, these AMCs are some of the most underappreciated muscle cars on the market. Stand out from the crowd in this stunner. To see over 80 photos of this car, including undercarriage please visit our website
