Restyled for 1971, the Second Generation AMC Javelin was purposely designed to have a sporty individuality even at the risk of scaring off potential customers. Longer, lower, wider, heavier and better equipped than its predecessor, the Javelin incorporated an integral roof spoiler and sculpted fender bulges. The car was distinctive and was billed as the closest thing you could buy to a Trans-Am champion. GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this unique and rare Javelin AMX. Finished in a... bright Canary Yellow, this AMX is a head turner wherever it goes. The body is extremely nice and the paintwork is excellent. The exterior features nice chrome and a few tasteful touches such as decal on the hood, black vinyl top, and dual exhaust. Fitted with the top of the line AMX package that included fiberglass front and rear spoilers and it also has the Go Package which included "Rally-Pac" instruments, a handling package for the suspension, "Twin-Grip" limited-slip differential, heavy-duty cooling, power-assisted disc brakes, 15x7-inch styled slotted steel wheels, T-stripe hood decal, and a blacked-out rear taillight panel. The interior features nice black cloth bucket seats that are in great shape the dashboard is extremely clean. This car has been very well cared for and has had tons of work done on it. Some of the things included a new Holley 4bbl carb, new master cylinder, speedo cable, drive shaft, front calipers, exhaust, trim rings, rear axle, hub bearings, alternator, new tires, rear drum brakes, shocks, ignition coil, distributor, chrome trim, and a rebuilt tach. the top dog 401cid V8 with a 4bbl carb and automatic transmission, this car is just as capable as an equivalent Mustang for a bargain price.
