1968 AMX #00156

FOR SALE is my rare 1968 AMX muscle car. Glove box Serial # is 00156, one of the first 200 available to the general public. She has been to Hot August Nights several times and many local car shows. Always an announcer's favorite and a big hit with the crowd. On a trip to Washington we did have one problem. A CHP pulled us over. All he wanted was to check the car out, look at the engine, and talk cars. Always a California car with no rust and kept garaged all the years I have owned it.

Car is 90% stock. 1974 Matador front floating caliper disc brakes were installed and necessitated 15 " wheels. Torque Thrust wheels were added for vintage look and the T/A radials are 1 year old Engine is stock except for Edelbrock Carb and Flow-master Mufflers. A 1-wire internal regulated 100 amp alternator was installed for more electrical capacity. Engine was overhauled at 74000 miles by first owner. Front end was totally rebuilt with grease able trunions. Rear end is a 315 Twin Grip.

All original parts are included with a lot of spares for projects not completed. I just turned 81 and its time for someone else to enjoy this jewel.
