Description of 1971 AMC Other BROUGHAM

Rust Free and Great driver! Can you say Cars and Coffee on a budget?!
Thanks for looking and bidding on my 1971 AMC Ambassador Brougham wagon. This car is unusual and turns heads everywhere I go. It's a solid car with the original good running 360 engine that you can get in and drive anywhere (think Roadkill!)
Make me an offer I can't refuse so I don't have to store for the winter! Also would consider running trades - what do you have?
Many more pictures available.

While this Ambassador Brougham is not one of those rare specialty cars, it is a numbers matching, cool looking, very straight wagon that you can get in and drive. It practically has a couch for a backseat and a hotel room in the back with the rear facing third seat!! It turns heads and we get the thumbs up everywhere we go. If you looking for a great classic to take the kids/grandkids to cars and coffee, look no further.

  • Odometer reading - 51684 miles (True miles unknown)
    • It will not change before you pick it up because neither the speedometer or odometer work

  • Original 360 engine
    • Appears to be well maintained with no ticks or noises.
    • Does have an exhaust leak
    • I have played with it for the summer and it starts every time

    • Automatic trans

  • Mostly un-restored. Appears to be original paint and wood exterior. Most of the trim and moldings are in tack although the passenger wing window in the front door is not glass and has been replaced.
    • Original interior and undercarriage
    • Factory A/C, belt on but not cold - the compressor makes a noise and will break the belt if you turn it on

This car is a whole lot of fun to drive and we have enjoyed it. I acquired it at a car show and brought it back as a weekend driver and have enjoyed it with no headaches. It is road ready - just get in and drive. I would suggest that it may need some suspension component updates as it does have some slop in the steering. The car's body panels are solid, the engine bay is tidy and the bumpers are in very good condition.

Inside, the red seats are in great shape and the matching carpet is in good condition. The steering wheel is present and in good shape. There are a lot of switches and gauges! The power windows work, from one switch or anther and the back window goes up and down. (NOTE: If you go all the way down with the back window it comes off track and is a pain to get back up)

The wheels appear to be from a Mustang, but I am unsure if they are aftermarket and the car has front disc.

The car has factory A/C and has not worked this summer.

Please do not bid on this car if you do not intend to buy it! Please contact me to look at it before bidding. If you win the bid you will be expected to purchase the car, even if you buy it "sight unseen”. The car is in as-is where-is condition and you will need to arrange to move it. Please ask me any questions FIRST. I will consider trades, let me know what you have, but cash is y priority.

Please understand this car is as is - likely needs a fair amont of puttering and is not a show car. This is purely for the fun of it.

Thanks and have fun bidding! There is a $250 deposit via papal due if your offer is accepted. Reserve is less than the Buy it Now.

I have many more pictures upon request.

Great cars and coffee car and easy/fun to drive! Make an offer.
