1957 Metropolitan Convertible all original. Starts runs stops and drives fine. Wheel cylinders and master cylinder rebuilt and brakes work great. Has new front and rear shocks and a new battery. Has excellent glass. Top and rear plastic window are very good. Top boot is useable but could use a bit of repair (small rip). Paint (red and white) is fair...looks ok at 20 feet but not very nice when you look closely. Body seems straight and solid I could only find one small place on rear fender that seems to have some putty. The body pans are solid and the rockers are solid. Bumpers look pretty good but bumper guards are dented. I have a couple of bumpers with guards that go with it. A couple of those guards are good. Grilland trim are nice and emblem is excellent. Front and rear seat covers look good as do the door panels. Dash is nice no rust. Everything works! Horn works head and tail lights work turning signals work oil and charge warning lights work speedometer works. Even the original AM radio works! Doesn't leak oil or antifreeze. Steering has very little play. Now the bad stuff...the clutch works fine but the clutch throw-out bearing seems a little noisy (may need replaced at some point). Car runs strong on road but idles rough. It set for a couple of years and probably could use a carb rebuild.....other possibility is that it hassome sticky valves and will need a valve job at some point. Comes with a box of parts and also new weather strip for both doors. I have several vintage cars and must reduce the herd so this one must go. This metropolitan can be used and enjoyed as is or is an excellent candidate for restoration. I can store this car for a few weeks and I will help with loading. Might consider delivery I have a enclosed trailer. Call with questions: home 918-589-4140 or cell 918-804-4379.
