Description of 1978 AMC Gremlin

Your high school reunion is coming up shortly.What better way to impress your old high school flame than to show up in this iconic status symbol.Watch as they turn green with envy.Successful people drive status cars and this cute little Gremlin X will most certainly convey to everyone around you that you are indeed a 1% (maybe less than that.)I would love to keep this car and will regret selling it but need to buy a backhoe and this 1%er guy knows they are rather expensiveI bought this thru a 3rd party from the Gremlins original owner.I was told that he was to old to care for it anymore so I saw it for saleI loved its condition and obvious care that had been given to it.It had a few minor problems which I addressed immediately.I cleaned and resealed the gas tank and had the fuel sending unit rebuilt.Its not synced right as it shows slightly more that 3/4 of a tank at a fill up.I though tit was too much of a hassle to remove tank and pull the sending unit back to New York for re-doing the unit.I put on new white wall tires and a cat back exhaust system.A new fuel pump which the old one was good but the tank rust would clog the fuel filter.Now all is very good with the Gremlin.It starts right up if driven regularly or a few pumps on the gas pedal if you are just out trolling on the weekend etcThe interior from top to bottom is very nice.The red Levi interior. is still very nice.original everything top to bottom.It is a higher option Gremlin X with the chrome spoiler l/R side view mirrorsleather wrapped steering wheel roof rack and the sex appeal was a standard option.The fancy striping is pretty nice but i would eventually get a new stripe kit from Phoenix Graphics Co.The original Autumn Red exterior is in pretty nice shape and no signs of previous body damage.I have put around 4 thousand miles on it in the 2 years of proud ownership.It drives very straight and the non power brakes stop it surprisingly well.Feel free to ask questions and I would be happy to answer you promptly.
