1985 ASTON MARTIN V8 VOLANTE: --Coniston Sand metallic (Silver-Beige Met), Black leather interior, Black carpeting, Black convertible top, 51,000 miles from new, Automatic transmission, European Airbox, Stainless steel Vantage exhaust, Factory 1985 NY Auto Show car. After being used by the Aston Martin factory for the 1985 New York Auto Show, this V8 Volante sold to its first registered owner, Mr. L. Joiner of Illinois through Ray Steidle Pontiac/Aston Martin of Cincinnati. After long-term original ownership, the V8 was traded to Autosport Designs. The Volante was owned for a time by Tom Papadopoulos for personal use and several upgrades were performed at this time. These included a conversion to factory Euro carb linkage and airbox, installation of Euro stainless V8 Vantage exhaust system as well as the supply and fitment of a Harvey Bailey suspension handling package. It was sold a couple of years thereafter to a client in North Carolina. After a few years of seasonal use, the V8 was traded to Autosport Designs in 2008 and sold almost immediately to its most recent owner, a Connecticut resident. During this ownership, this V8 Volante has been well serviced and restored in several areas by Autosport Designs as well as well-known Connecticut marque specialists Vantage Motorsports. Many, many years of proper maintenance records are included in this V8 Volante’s service history file. Having already been converted to European specification intake system-air box and well as complete V8 Vantage exhaust system, this V8 is a great candidate for conversion to factory European chrome bumpers. This V8 Volante has enjoyed excellent ownership/s since new and has recently been traded towards another Aston from our inventory. Priced fairly in today’s Aston market, this V8 Volante is seeking its next new home.
