Very nice late 1964 Austin Healey 3000 MKIII, uropean spec car. Car was originally shipped to Germany. It has all the features of a Phase II Healey, ith the later door handles and the later suspension. This is one incredible unrestored original example. The unusual features on this car include: speedometer in Kilometers, ater temp in Centigrade, il pressure in kilograms per centimeters, ocking steering, ana locking gas cap, pecial serial number plate, laupunkt period radio and Cibie headlights and driving lights. This rare Austin Healey 3000 BJ8 also has special lighting on the turn signals and running lights (using glass lenses), nd a rear shroud that is unique only to the European spec cars. The exterior body has no rust and has never been repaired. The rear fenders are solid and the triangle gussets are still intact, omething I have never seen on a car of this vintage. The painted wire wheels have been upgraded to 72 spoke and have 165 X15 Vredestein tires. This car is so solid, ven the shroud is not ripped where it attaches to the frame. The floors still have the "tar paper" covering. All the seats and squab are original and in very good condition. The foam has started to crumble in the seat bottoms. The seat pans are not rusty. The original bakelite steering wheel is leather wrapped. The oil pressure is great. the gearbox and overdrive are verry good. This car does NOT rattle. The doors close as they did when the car was new. The grill and MKIII badge are exceptional. The rear bumper has been rechromed. The door and fender lines are as they were when the car was built. This BJ8 has the original boot, onneau and drivers handbook. The original speedometer shows 44,000 Kilomters. THIS IS A VERY SPECIAL CAR AND IS IN INCREDIBLE ORIGINAL CONDITION. It is not perfect, ut has not been tampered with. It needs some carpeting and some minor TLC done to the interior, ll very minor. It has a older, ut good, lue canvas convertible top. I see minor rust on the LH inner sill, ear the front inner well. And one small hole at the rear of the LH rocker panel box section in the inner wheel. It has the original servo, ut it has had the vacuum bypassed. All the outriggers are solid. I have seen a lot of Healeys in my 41 years of being in the business, his one is one of the nicest original cars I have ever seen.
