I am the second owner from new. The 3000 spent most of its life in Virginia and since my ownership, here it resides in Massachusetts, t has spent every winter in dry garage storage. I had a complete body off the frame restoration and total motor rebuild which was finished last summer, 015. Last week a comprehensive carburetor refit and dial-in of the twin S.U. HD8's was accomplished by a marque specialist. I am currently at 300 plus break-in miles on the new motor and am planning on a hundred or so more, hen back to the shop for head bolt re-torque, alve adjustment and oil/filter change. I am a reluctant seller but due to too little space and other projects it might be the time to pass the Healey on to a fellow enthusiast. Front independent suspension with wishbones, oil springs and lever arm shocks. The handling is aided by integral anti-sway bar. The rear axle is live, iding on leaf springs. 60 spoke chrome & stainless steel wire wheels are mated to Michelin MX4 Rain Force tires. Servo assisted Girling disc brakes up front and shoes at the rear. There is also a new set of blue Everflex tonneau and boot top covers. It has plenty of low end grunt and really gets up and goes from stop. At speed, n fourth gear, t all comes together with a flick of the electric Laycock deNormanville overdrive switch which can be used in lower gears as well. The overall appearance is one of a new car and since the original interior and beautiful walnut veneer dash was in such good condition I did not replace it during the rebuild, ut left it alone, s it can only be an original patina interior once. I will gladly answer all questions.
