David Traver Adolphus said in his April, 2006 Hemmings Motor News review of the 3000 Mk II:
“With a profile drawn after WWII, the long hood, subtle door creases, rakish windshield and big-wheel, low-deck shape of the Austin-Healey 3000 Mk II make a promise that the car delivers. It's an intersection of design and performance, of engineering and art that have made the Austin-Healey 3000 an object of desire for almost 50 years.
…With its unbeatable combination of style, power and grace, the Austin-Healey 3000 Mk II has little direct competition today. If you want top-down European motoring, in a substantial and energetic car, it's one of your finest choices.”

This particular car has been collector-owned for many years. It received a painstaking, multi-year concours-level restoration that was completed in 2012. EVERYTHING was done to make this car a standout on the show field and on the road. It was stripped to bare metal and repainted in classic Healey Red. All chrome and trim were re-plated. Please see restoration photos. All receipts are available. The engine, drivetrain and all mechanical systems were fully rebuilt. The 2.9 litre straight-six engine creates 132 horsepower at 4,750 rpm. It runs beautifully with no smoke or unusual noises. All gauges work and register accurately. The car is great on the road, with tight suspension and nimble handling. The 4-speed manual overdrive transmission makes touring a pleasure. Interior was fully restored in black leather. Roll-up windows in the doors for year-round enjoyment. Also includes tools, zippered tonneau, black top. The body is straight and rust-free. Newer radial tires and refinished 60-spoke knock-off wire wheels. Please see photos. Just 1,750 miles since completion.
If you’re looking for a wonderful "Big Healey" for touring or show, this is the one.
