My name is Knut Holzer, and I am the previous owner of British Motor Corporation in Philadelphia, PAMy business specialized in the restoration of Big Healeys from 1989 until my retirement 3 years ago. My business still lives on in the ownership of my previous employees. British Motor Corporation of Philadelphia restored over 400 Big Healeys. We know these cars very well. Our restored examples frequently sell in the $90,000 to $115,000 USD. This vehicle was not restored by my company, but was sorted by us, including the mechanical repairs and interior work. It is a good, solid number 2 example. This is not one of my over restored number 1 examples. But is also priced accordingly.Well sorted, restored 1967 Austin Healey 3000. This vehicle was built during last year of production. This car was a clients car that he purchased from the first owner in 1974. He drove the car for about four years until putting it away in his garage around 1978. In 1996 he had the car moved to a shop for a bare metal strip and repaint in the original color, using Urethane base coat paint and Urethane clear coats. At that time, they sprayed a black chip guard on the underside. It was professionally applied. Car was brought back home where it sat until 2015 when had it moved to my mechanical shop for the minor rebuild of the engine and tranny. We also performed major rebuilds of the carbs, fuel pump, complete hydraulic replacement, alloy radiator, engine out detailing, new wiring harness, fuel flush, new interior, new seat bases, new seat foams, new wood dash, new top boot, new Dayton 72 spoke wire wheels, new Vedrestein tires, new wheel spinners. The car runs and drives very well. Oil pressure is 45.lbs at start and maintains a strong level when hot.Car runs cool and maintains around 170 degrees when its hot. Transmission is smooth, shifts well, and overdrive is perfect. Brakes are fresh and work well. Steering is correct and in good order. Exhaust is a vintage Anza and is in good condition. Over all condition is very good.
