The 100 was named by Healey for the cars ability to reach 100 MPH. The car could also get almost 23 MPG and reach a 0-60 time in under 12 seconds. The 100-4 is known for being the first of the Big Healeys. Distinguishing them from the smaller or Healey Sprite cars. The 100-4 was built from 1953-1956 with bodies by Jensen and built in the Healey factory. These cars have become quite popular in the sports car scene as... well as collectors and Vintage Racing Clubs. They have a very popular sweeping body style with a underslung carriage making them nice and low to the ground. This particular car was purchased at Auction several years ago and the owner has gone through the car and serviced what needed to be done. It is finished in a nice red over black with red piping interior. This 100-4 starts, runs, brakes and shifts very nicely. Everything is in working order with nothing needed to enjoy. The top fits nicely and comes with tool roll, spare and side curtains. Car spent most of its life in the dry south and now is only used on gorgeous summer days with the rest of the time in a climate controlled collection.
