Description of 1964 Austin Healey 3000

1964 Austin Healey 3000 BJ 7 This is an excellent example of a well cared for and loved 3000 BJ 7. Purchased by the owner in 1972 (yes. 42 years ago!) from the original owner. it has received restoration as needed and has always been garage stored. As an executive with Ford Motor Company. the Healey went into long term storage on several occasions while owner was stationed on different continents. The mileage is showing at 14. 00. The paint was redone in 1990 and is "driver" quality having aged about 25 years. The seat leather was redone professionally about 10 years ago. Overall. the interior is very good to "excellent original". There are no mechanical problems noted by our sellers and it starts. runs. and drives excellent. This Healey would benefit from a complete repaint if one wanted to take it to a higher level. however. it is the perfect driver and "casual show" car at present. This is a fantastic find given it's long term ownership history with the same family. Turn the key and enjoy!
