Description of 1960 Austin Healey 3000

1960 Austin Healey 3000 “Field Find”Original color Ivory white with red interior.Vin number HBT7L / 8173Although I am not quite sure that the Austin Healey world has devolved to the point of restoring a car primarily around a Vin number I am none the less offering this as a car for restoration with a bill of sale. The Good:The upper parts of the aluminum shrouds are not bad at all. There is a complete rear axle and front suspension with brake calipers. The skeletonized rusted frame is actually quite an interesting thing to look at if you are in the frame of mind of an archeologist who is appreciating shards of some ancient vase that was smashed on the rocks of the Aegean sea 2000 years ago.You can tell your friends you just purchased an Austin Healey 3000The Bad:Missing most parts. Smashed and rusted in almost every conceivable way. Rusted in places Healeys normally do not rust. The level of corrosion almost rivals the famous lake Maggiore Bugatti (this feature could be good or ugly depending on your level of appreciation)The Ugly:The car is in two pieces and does not roll. It does steer however each wheel steers independently which sort of does not matter because it does not roll.Bring a Trailer and Bring a Winch
